Girl Fishing
Fishing is a great way to spend time outdoors with family and friends while getting some fresh air! 

DEEP Fisheries Division Connecticut Aquatic Resources Education (CARE) Introductory Fishing Course will teach you everything you need to know to get started fishing – where to go, how to tie a strong knot, what baits to use, how to identify and care for your catch and much more.  

Course is designed for adults and families (min. child age is 8) and consists of two hours of classroom instruction and concludes with a fishing field trip to Sunrise Park.  This program is offered free of charge by DEEP and fishing equipment will be available to borrow and classroom hand outs and instruction materials are provided.

Dates:       May 3 and 5 (must attend both classes)        
Days:        Thursday and Saturday
Time:        Thursday 6:00-8:00 p.m./Saturday 9:00 a.m.-12:00 noon
Ages:        8 -15 with their parent/guardian (all children must be accompanied by an adult)
Location:  Thursday, May 3 at Suffield Middle School Cafeteria/Saturday, May 5 at Sunrise Park, meet at boat launch area.
Fee:          $10.00 per family   (Fee covers Town’s administrative costs)
Non Res:  $15.00 per family
