Premier Field Hockey Camp is for field players and goal keepers, with specialized coaches for both! We have a fantastic staff (top college, club, and high school) that not only love field hockey and kids but teach from structured lessons that are strategically planned out for the week. This process ensures that each player gets proper instruction from the basics to high level skills. A typical day is comprised of fun, skill development, tactical sessions as well as game play. We offer a field hockey experience for players in grades 1 - 12. Players are separated by age and ability. We strive to bring players, coaches and all involved with Premier Field Hockey Camps the best of everything field hockey! Our staff is second to none. We have field hockey and sport professionals that not only can teach field hockey skills but share their expertise in athlete development, and college recruiting.We will have a field hockey stick to use for the camp, if your child is new and wants to experience field hockey. 9:15 AM - 12:00 PM    Kid's Korner/Morning Munchkins Camp (Age 3 - Entering Gr. 2) - Kid's Korner/Morning Munchkins Camp, Session 3
Your child will have non-stop fun this summer in the Kids Korner/Morning Munchkins interactive and educational camp!   The Kid’s Korner/Morning Munchkins Camp is an enriching program for children who have reached their 3rd birthday by the start of the session enrolled in (proof of age required-must be toilet trained) through those entering 2nd grade.  The youngest group is called, Morning Munchkins.  Children are placed in groups according to proximity of age.  Campers will enjoy a variety of activities including: arts and crafts, educational themes, parachute play, painting, water days, Nature fun, outdoor and indoor creative play, games, story time,mindfulness,  scavenger hunts and family friendly event days in this fun and inclusive camp. For a special treat popsicles are served every Tuesdays on Sprinkler Day and special snacks are enjoyed on event days including ice cream and special treats.  There is a new theme each session to keep your child/ren captivated all summer long.  At the end of each session, campers put on an interactive event day.  Delicious snacks will be served and much fun is had.Please have children wear sneakers, apply sun block on your child before camp and pack a snack with water/juice that is labeled each day to camp. We will also have a fun Sprinkler day on Tuesdays each week.  Please have your child wear a swim-suit/swim attire under their camp close that day and bring a towel. If there are thunderstorms, we will move the sprinkler day to another day during the camp week and parents will be notified in advanced.NOTE: No Camp on Monday, July 5.PLEASE NOTE: We ask everyone to check their temperature before coming to all programs and events and if you have a temperature, over 100 please do not attend.  Also, please do not have your child attend the program if they are feeling ill or  if you or any family members/close contacts are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19.  All participants must wear a face mask.   
 
12:30 PM - 2:30 PM    Crafty Kids Camp (Age 4 - Entering Gr. 1 & Entering Gr. 2-5) - Crafty Kids Camp
Your child will have a wonderful afternoon while making cool creations and awesome crafts with their friends.  The camp will be divided up into two separate age appropriate groups.  An assortment of creative arts and crafts will be made such as jewelry, bookmarks, bird houses, sun catchers, painting projects, Fuzzy Felt Art and more. Please wear appropriate clothes or bring a smock. This class is great for both boys and girls.  A small nut free snack will be provided. If your child is attending the Kid's Korner/Morning Munchkins Camp, they are welcome to register to stay after camp and go directly to this fun program.  Please pack an extra nut free snack.  Please list if your child has any dietary restrictions or food allergies when registering for the program.
 
4:30 PM - 6:30 PM    Summer Themed Outdoor Exercise and Walk Event - FREE - NEW (Bowling Buddies and Bowling Buddies JR Group and Friends) - Summer Themed Outdoor Exercise and Walk Event
Have a fun time with your friends celebrating summer while getting some great exercise and listening to some uplifting music. We will walk, play some fun team building games and have a mini corn hole contest.    We will also go to the playscape at the end of the exercise/walk event with any of the Bowling Buddies Junior participants and families that attend.All abilities welcome. Limited enrollment. Please wear comfortable clothes that allow for movement, sneakers and wear and bring a facemask and water bottle.  We ask everyone to check their temperature before coming to class and if you have a temperature, over 100 please do not come to the program.  Please do not come to the program if you are feeling ill or experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19. NOTE: If there are just a few sprinkles, we will still exercise outside.  Please bring a rain jacket and umbrella and wear proper footwear.If it ends up raining heavy with thunderstorms, we will play games/exercise inside the Senior Center.

Yes, running can be fun!    All levels of runners are welcome.  This program is the perfect way to train for the upcoming Suffield Parks and Recreation 5K Run/Walk and 10K Road Race to be held on Saturday, September 11 and for other local races. This new running group will also get you in overall great shape and help you make new running friends. Led by an experienced runner and coach, each session will start with a warm up, followed by the workout and ending with a cool down and stretches. The running workouts will be based on the levels of the runners. The participants will be coached during the session as well as given tools to continue the training on their own. You will gain the maximum and optimal benefits of the program by signing up for the two nights a week program.  Please wear proper running sneakers and bring water.NOTE: $5.00 discount for each additional family member that registers after the first enrollment.Children 16 years old and under must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

Get an incredible workout in this fun high intensity step class. Class is designed to help build lean muscle while burning tons of fat all while having a blast. It is a total body cardio and strength workout and is the perfect summer workout. Combining step, HIIT, and dumbbells, this ultimate thirty minute workout will get and help keep you in shape. Come get your heart pumping and the calories burning with a personal trainer. Don’t worry about vacations or missing a session, we able to offer these casual and fun drop-in clinic night at no charge through our awesome (and experienced) volunteers! Each day will have opportunities to practice your skills, learn new things, and game play. Most importantly, you will be able to get out, socialize, and have some fun!

Have you ever wanted to try Yoga and see what it is all about?  This class is for you!  Take some time for yourself and enjoy all of the benefits of Yoga in a fun and friendly environment.  We will practice and enjoy a healthy, strengthening and de-stressing Vinyasa Yoga workout to start the weekend off right. There will be a strong focus on proper alignment and linking movement to one’s breath to ultimately promote flexibility, increase mobility, build strength, balance and relieve stress. All Levels are welcome including beginners. Please wear comfortable clothes that allow for movement, wear a face mask when social distancing is not possible and have a water bottle and a Yoga Mat ready for class.

Get in shape and have fun in our Summer Tabata Outdoor Bootcamp.  You will have a blast in this ultimate calorie burning high intensity class. Tabata is a form of HIIT (high intensity interval training) that alternates between twenty seconds of intense bursts of work and ten seconds of rest in four minute rounds. This class will have you burning calories even after you leave class. All fitness levels are welcome. Inclusive Programming                  These programs foster friendships, socialization, promote community involvement and independence.  This group enjoys educational presentations, fitness activities, crafting classes, games and events that are inclusive. Many fun outings throughout the year are held. Currently we have been running a weekly  2 hour Zoom program along with outdoor exercise programs and events throughout the COVID 19 Pandemic.  During the Summer months, we will continue to have our Zoom programs in addition to in person events.  We are planning on starting our Bowling Program back up for our Bowling Buddies and Bowling Buddies Jr. program on Tuesday, September 14, 2021. The programs are geared for Middle school students through adult. Enrollment is on a first come first paid basis.  Volunteers are always welcome. This new running group will also get you in overall great shape and help you make new running friends. Led by an experienced runner and coach, each session will start with a warm up, followed by the workout and ending with a cool down and stretches. The running workouts will be based on the levels of the runners. The participants will be coached during the session as well as given tools to continue the training on their own. You will gain the maximum and optimal benefits of the program by signing up for the two nights a week program.  Please wear proper running sneakers and bring water.NOTE: $5.00 discount for each additional family member that registers after the first enrollment.Children 16 years old and under must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

Get in shape and have fun in our Summer Tabata Outdoor Bootcamp.  You will have a blast in this ultimate calorie burning high intensity class. Tabata is a form of HIIT (high intensity interval training) that alternates between twenty seconds of intense bursts of work and ten seconds of rest in four minute rounds. This class will have you burning calories even after you leave class. All fitness levels are welcome. It is proven that chess enhances cognitive development in children, improves both verbal and mathematical skills, and increases all levels of academic performance! Playing chess stimulates the mind and helps children strengthen skills such as focusing, visualizing goals, abstract thinking, and forming concrete opinions. Instructors (who are called "Wizards") provide all the materials necessary for your child to participate in the class and no additional purchase is required to attend. Snacks will be provided but full day kids should bring a lunch. All students will receive a trophy, puzzle folder and wizards t-shirt. Come join the fun!

Premier Lacrosse Camp is for boy field players, and goalies, entering grades 4-9, whose goal is to enhance the total development of each player through a strict focus on fundamentals, skill development, and a better understanding of game play. This camp will have something for everyone as individual attention, high level instruction, and healthy competition, no matter what the level of play, will be there for all of our campers. Fundamentals to include throwing, catching, shooting, and groundballs.  Athletic development work to include dynamic stretching, static stretching, strength work, and running.  Game like situations to include even-man situations, odd-man situations, 6v6 scrimmage, 10v10 scrimmage, fast break, ride/ clear, face-off, and small area games.  Specialized instruction to include the specifics of playing attack, mid-field, defense, face-offs, and goalie. In addition, we will have a specialized curriculum and space dedicated to those campers entering high school.  With this, our goal is to give our campers, whom will be entering the 9th grade, the tools necessary to prepare them for the game at the high school level. Premier Camps has partnered with Spiral Up Athletics Academy’s Director and Lacrosse Coach, to head up the coaching staff. Coach Kossbiel will be joined by a staff that will include current high school and college level coaches and players that have both grown up in, and still coach in the northern Connecticut area. What to bring: Full lacrosse equipment, water bottle, cleats, gym shoes, and a light snack.There is a very limited supply of smaller equipment for those younger players who have not played in the past.  Be sure to wear sunscreen. If you want a great experience, come to Premier Lacrosse!All COVID protocols will be followed to ensure maximum safety for players and staff.NOTE: A copy of your child's latest physical and immunization records must be on file with the Parks & Recreation Department prior to camp to participate. Are you ready to run?  Come join certified coaches and trainers for a fun training program. Yes, running can be fun. All levels of runners are welcome.  This program is the perfect way to train for the upcoming Suffield Parks and Recreation 5K Run/Walk and 10K Road Race to be held on Saturday, September 11 and for other local races.  This new running group will also get you in overall great shape and help you make new running friends.   Led by an experienced runner and coach, each session will start with a warm up, followed by the workout and ending with a cool down and stretches. The running workouts will be based on the levels of the runners. The participants will be coached during the session as well as given tools to continue the training on their own. Chess Wizards is a fun way to have kids experience the excitement of chess. With half and full day classes, kids will play in mini tournaments, have interactive lessons with chess pros and play cool chess variants like bug house. It is proven that chess enhances cognitive development in children, improves both verbal and mathematical skills, and increases all levels of academic performance! Playing chess stimulates the mind and helps children strengthen skills such as focusing, visualizing goals, abstract thinking, and forming concrete opinions. Instructors (who are called "Wizards") provide all the materials necessary for your child to participate in the class and no additional purchase is required to attend. Snacks will be provided but full day kids should bring a lunch. All students will receive a trophy, puzzle folder and wizards t-shirt. Come join the fun! 
 
9:00 AM - 12:00 PM    Lacrosse Camp - Premier (Boys Entering Gr. 4-9) - Premier Lacrosse Camp
Premier Lacrosse Camp is for boy field players, and goalies, entering grades 4-9, whose goal is to enhance the total development of each player through a strict focus on fundamentals, skill development, and a better understanding of game play. This camp will have something for everyone as individual attention, high level instruction, and healthy competition, no matter what the level of play, will be there for all of our campers. Fundamentals to include throwing, catching, shooting, and groundballs.  Athletic development work to include dynamic stretching, static stretching, strength work, and running.  Game like situations to include even-man situations, odd-man situations, 6v6 scrimmage, 10v10 scrimmage, fast break, ride/ clear, face-off, and small area games.  Specialized instruction to include the specifics of playing attack, mid-field, defense, face-offs, and goalie. In addition, we will have a specialized curriculum and space dedicated to those campers entering high school.  With this, our goal is to give our campers, whom will be entering the 9th grade, the tools necessary to prepare them for the game at the high school level. Premier Camps has partnered with Spiral Up Athletics Academy’s Director and Lacrosse Coach, to head up the coaching staff. Coach Kossbiel will be joined by a staff that will include current high school and college level coaches and players that have both grown up in, and still coach in the northern Connecticut area. What to bring: Full lacrosse equipment, water bottle, cleats, gym shoes, and a light snack.There is a very limited supply of smaller equipment for those younger players who have not played in the past.  Be sure to wear sunscreen. If you want a great experience, come to Premier Lacrosse!All COVID protocols will be followed to ensure maximum safety for players and staff.NOTE: A copy of your child's latest physical and immunization records must be on file with the Parks & Recreation Department prior to camp to participate. Come get your heart pumping and the calories burning with a personal trainer. Don’t worry about vacations or missing a session, we able to offer these casual and fun drop-in clinic night at no charge through our awesome (and experienced) volunteers! Each day will have opportunities to practice your skills, learn new things, and game play. Most importantly, you will be able to get out, socialize, and have some fun!

Inclusive Programming                  These programs foster friendships, socialization, promote community involvement and independence.  This group enjoys educational presentations, fitness activities, crafting classes, games and events that are inclusive. Many fun outings throughout the year are held. Currently we have been running a weekly  2 hour Zoom program along with outdoor exercise programs and events throughout the COVID 19 Pandemic.  During the Summer months, we will continue to have our Zoom programs in addition to in person events.  We are planning on starting our Bowling Program back up for our Bowling Buddies and Bowling Buddies Jr. program on Tuesday, September 14, 2021. The programs are geared for Middle school students through adult. Enrollment is on a first come first paid basis.  Volunteers are always welcome.
